Dr Parry has specialised in syncope and related issues for more than 20 years, first as a trainee researching carotid sinus syndrome through many years at Newcastle's Falls and Syncope Service. His clinical research has centered on syncope, in particular neurally mediated disorders and adenosine in syncope.
