Dr Barker is a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospitals of North Midlands. She graduated from Liverpool Medical School, trained in the Mersey Deanery Training Programme and completed her subspecialty training at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. She also completed a research degree in heart disease in pregnancy at the University of Leeds.  Dr Barker specialises in heart failure.
