Dr Buckley trained in Ireland, completed here subspecialty training at University of Los Angeles in California, USA and subsequently was appointed as a consultant electrophysiologist in Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, London. She completed her PhD through University College Dublin and her research revolves around manipulation of the autonomic nervous system as a treatment for ventricular arrhythmias.
